On the TUL App you can BUY, SELL or HIRE any type of tool, equipment or machinery.
TUL is the first platform with full price transparency, live stock availability and an efficient communication system. We want our customers to have no surprises on their final bill and to be sure that the item they are purchasing or hiring is really in stock. Moreover, with our messaging system, customers can be in touch with any seller or lender, and in some cases directly with the manufacturer of the product they are looking to purchase or hire.
TUL allows all users to rate their purchase, sale or rental experiences, so that everyone contributes to the efficiency of the platform.
The TUL mobile app is available all over Europe, in 6 different languages (more coming) and it accepts both € and £ transactions.
SALES
We offer a 100% free service to the buyers. Depending on the notional of the transaction, the sellers are charged different fees (from 10% to 1% fee, check out our website for more info: www.thetulapp.com).
On the TUL SALES section, you can buy and sell TULs.
As a BUYER, simply start your search by typing the name of the tool you are looking to buy, the location and whether you want a new or used TUL, and apply any distance and price filters. You can then select the TUL which suits your needs and scroll through all its features, i.e. photos, description, delivery service (if available) and full visibility on the final sale price. Once you have found the TUL you need, choose the quantity and simply proceed with the purchase by card or bank transfer.
As a SELLER, you can register as an individual or a company. Once you have created your profile with all your personal and bank account details, list the TULs you want to sell. Include all the relevant sale details, such as price, quantity available, description, condition (new or used) and if you offer delivery service. From your Sales account you will be able to switch to a Rental account on TUL.
When you find a buyer for your TULs, you will receive the total price (net of the fees charged by TUL) into your bank account.
RENTALS
We offer a 100% free service to the borrowers, and we charge the lenders a fixed 10% fee for each transaction.
On the TUL RENTALS section, you can choose to be a borrower, a lender, or both.
As a BORROWER, start your search from 3 different categories of TULs: hand, power or engine powered TULs. After selecting the desired booking days, you can apply distance and price filters, and look for TULs with delivery service available. The final price is fully disclosed by the lender, including the rental fee and the delivery charge if applicable. If the lender also requests a security deposit, this amount will be blocked on your card but will be refunded to you when the TULs are returned to the lender. You might notice that some of the lenders offer discounts if your rental period exceeds a certain number of days.
As a LENDER, you can list your TULs in any of the 3 categories mentioned above and choose if you want to offer a delivery service or not. Choose the days of the week and the time of the day when you wish to make your TULs available. To manage all possible scenarios, we allow only one booking for each TUL every 24 hours. Obviously each TUL can be booked for several days in a row. You can then set the rental fee, any applicable delivery charge and security deposit amount, any practical rule and extra fees to cover for maintenance costs.
To avoid any sort of miscommunication, TUL has a simple notification system, by which the borrower and the lender both need to confirm delivery and/or receipt of the TULs at the beginning and at the end of the rental period.
The Lender Dashboard will show details of your personal earnings and ratings to help you track the success of your rentals.
